RPM to RCF Calculator: Convert RPM, RCF & g-Force

Last updated: 29 August 2026
RPM ↔ RCF (g-Force) Converter

Convert RPM to RCF (g-force) for a given rotor radius. Formula: RCF = 1.118 × 10−5 × r × RPM², where r is the rotor radius in centimetres. Worked example: 3,000 RPM on a rotor with r = 10 cm gives 1.118e−5 × 10 × 3,000² ≈ 1,006 ×g. Rearrange to RPM = √(RCF / (1.118 × 10−5 × r)) to go from RCF back to RPM (e.g. 1,000 ×g on r = 10 cm needs ≈ 2,991 RPM; 300 ×g on r = 17.5 cm needs ≈ 1,238 RPM).

How to use: convert between RPM and RCF (g-force) in either direction. Use the toggle to switch which value you enter, then pick a rotor preset or type in the rotor radius below.
