These terms govern your use of BioProcess Tools (the "Site") at bioprocesstools.com. By using the Site, contacting us, or subscribing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Free tools, provided "as is"
Most calculators, content, and resources on the Site are provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We may change, suspend, or remove any tool or content at any time without notice.
1a. Paid products (DOE Pro and downloadable guides)
Some products are paid: DOE Pro (a subscription, billed monthly or annually) and one-off downloadable guides. Paid products are also supplied "as is" and "as available" and are subject to sections 2 and 3 below, but the following additional terms apply.
- Seller and payment. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles billing, invoicing and any applicable sales tax or VAT. Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your billing country and may be added to the displayed price.
- Prices. Prices are shown on the DOE Pro pricing section. Promotional or introductory pricing applies only for the stated period; after it ends the subscription renews at the standard rate shown alongside the offer. We may change prices for future billing periods with notice.
- Licence. A paid subscription grants one person a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use DOE Pro. Your licence key is tied to your purchase and is limited to the number of activations stated at purchase. Sharing keys or exceeding the activation limit may result in the licence being disabled.
- Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in your purchase email; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not pro-rated.
- Refunds and your cancellation rights. See our Refunds & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
- Availability. DOE Pro runs in your browser. Features described as "coming soon" are not part of what you are purchasing today and are not guaranteed.
2. Not professional, engineering, or regulatory advice
The Site is for general informational and educational purposes only. The calculators provide estimates based on standard models and the inputs you supply. They are not a substitute for professional judgment, qualified engineering review, laboratory validation, or regulatory guidance. You are responsible for independently verifying any result before relying on it for experimental, manufacturing, safety, financial, or regulatory decisions.
3. Accuracy and liability
We work to keep the tools and content accurate, but we do not warrant that they are error-free, complete, or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BioProcess Tools and its operators accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its outputs.
4. Acceptable use
- Use the Site lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt, overload, attack, or gain unauthorised access to it.
- Do not scrape or bulk-download the Site in a way that degrades it for others.
- Do not use the contact form or newsletter to send spam, malicious content, or unlawful material.
5. Intellectual property
The Site, its design, text, and original tools are the property of BioProcess Tools unless otherwise stated. You may use the calculators and read the content for your own personal, academic, or internal business purposes. Please do not republish or redistribute substantial portions of the Site as your own without permission. Cited third-party references and standards remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Third-party links
The Site links to external resources (vendors, papers, and other websites) for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those third-party sites.
7. Contact and newsletter
If you contact us or subscribe to our newsletter, we handle your details as described in our Privacy & Cookies policy. Newsletter subscription is optional and you can unsubscribe at any time.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
